Process introduction
1. What is NMT?
The process of combining metal and plastic with nanotechnology is called nano-injection molding technology (NMT). The metal surface is first nano-treated, and then the plastic is injected on the metal surface. The metal such as magnesium, stainless steel, titanium and the like can be combined with the hard resin to realize integrated molding. The process flow is as follows: a
2. What is LDS?
LDS is a technology that uses a digitally controlled laser to directly print a circuit pattern on a surface of a plastic part. The processing time is short, the precision is high, and the circuit pattern is not limited by the geometry of the physical device. The process flow is as follows:

Second, why use NMT+LDS
NMT+LDS is a combination of two technologies that can print the antenna directly on the phone case (as shown below). The advantages of this are:
1. Solve the effect of metal electromagnetic shielding effect (signal difference) better than simply using NMT
2. The mobile phone can be made lighter and thinner (the LDS syrup does not corrode the metal casing, the antenna is directly integrated into the casing, and no additional bracket antenna and FPC antenna are needed to save space)

Three NMT+LDS process
The process of NMT+LDS can be divided into two types according to the order of anode and LDS treatment:
1. First anode and LDS treatment
T treatment → nano injection molding → CNC finishing → anodizing → laser laser engraving antenna → electroless metallization
After anodizing, the aluminum substrate is protected and then treated with LDS to avoid corrosion of the aluminum substrate. The LDS yield is high in this process.
2. First LDS treated anode
T treatment → nano-injection → laser laser engraving antenna → electroless metallization → CNC finishing → anodizing
This process does not protect the substrate, and the black scale produced by the corrosion can be removed by the CNC finishing process. This process controls the laser laser engraving and electroless plating yields more easily, but the electroless plating process is more difficult to match.
Four materials that can be used for NMT+LDS
Material requirements: Suitable for both NMT and LDS; high dielectric constant; high magnetic permeability.
